The concept for our shop began materializing in a quiet corner of a church lobby. Introduced by a mutual friend and local rancher, an experienced butcher with a heritage in the food industry and a physician with a particular fondness for butcher shops got together and began dreaming about what they could build together for the Texoma community.
What sets Heritage apart from other butcher shops is our approach and the producers we partner with. We are a traditional, full-service butcher shop which purchases whole animals and produce from local ranchers and farmers who raise food the right way, with respect for the animals and the land. The animals we purchase are sent to small, family-owned slaughterhouses before they arrive here, where we skillfully butcher them to supply our customers with quality, custom-cut beef, lamb, pork, and poultry. We also make a variety of custom sausages and cured meats. Come inside and watch our butchers practice their trade!
In our market, we have Texoma sourced eggs, cheese, seasonal produce, and honey, as well as a variety of handcrafted items.
On the restaurant side, we offer slow-smoked Texas barbecue and cooked-to-order hamburgers. The sausages and ground beef we serve are made right here in our butcher shop. We also offer seasonal, house-made sides prepared with the same local ingredients we sell in our market. Even our real sugar sodas are sourced from a small, north Texas producer.
